The advancement of new technologies and artificial intelligence has opened up a discussion about their use, especially in sectors where disseminating correct information is key. In addition, some experts warn about the dangers it can bring when asking about a subject about which little or nothing is known. That is why the best option is to contrast any type of information.

In this regard, Spanish economist Gonzalo Bernardos, a regular contributor to Atresmedia television programs, wanted to warn those who often use artificial intelligence, more specifically those who opt for ChatGPT.

"If you want to look for exact data, don't look for it in ChatGPT," says Bernardos, who adds: "It may fail because it extracts it from an inappropriate place, but it even fails when I pass it on to them. As far as data is concerned, ChatGPT is not intelligent at all. It doesn't even know how to copy," says the economics professor in a message shared on his X account, Elon Musk's social network.

Bernardos' message has generated a debate among his followers. "Using ChatGPT to obtain a specific piece of information doesn't make much sense because it won't give it to you, it will give you a range of values," writes one user. "Go to reliable sources and spend time as has always been done," says another.

ChatGPT, the world's most widely used artificial intelligence

OpenAI's AI, according to several reports, is the most widely used assistant globally, with more than 800 million active users weekly. Although there is a lot of competition in the sector, with Gemini, Google's artificial intelligence, being its biggest rival: it has more than 300 million active users.

Also noteworthy is Microsoft's Copilot, which closes the popularity podium in 2026, as well as Claude or DeepSeek, which are alternatives to the OpenAI colossus.
