If the Super Bowl LX taught us something, it is that somebody will always find the bad in the good. The halftime show was supposed to be a moment to celebrate the diverse, wide and open American culture, but found hate from one half of the U.S. population.

However, as Bad Bunny took the stage at Levi's Stadium, he carried the weight of the entire culture on his shoulders. However, and unexpectedly, a wave of "disappointment" came from an unexpected fanbase. It seems that the collaboration with Lady Gaga was questioned by some part of his Latino fans, saying that he bypassed his most iconic collaborator, Cardi B, on a night dedicated to Hispanic heritage.

His deep connection to Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, who joined Benito for a cinematic, operatic rendition of their rumored upcoming track, was one of the most talked-about celebrities too. The performance was stunning, featuring avant-garde costuming and a level of production value rarely seen on the turf.

However, according to reports from The Daily Mail, the choice left a segment of the audience feeling cold. For fans who have followed Bad Bunny since his rise in 2017, the absence of Cardi B felt like a missed opportunity to honor his roots.

"Sorry, but choosing Lady Gaga, of all people he could have invited, was embarrassing and partially ruined both the message and the purpose of the performance

A really missed opportunity?

The reported disappointment felt by some fans come from the deep history between the two artists. Cardi B, who is of Dominican and Trinidadian descent, has long been a vocal supporter of Bad Bunny and vice versa.

When the halftime show was first announced, rumors swirled that the duo could recreate their Latin heritage on the biggest football stage.

Instead, the show leaned heavily into a different approach, with insiders suggesting that while there is no beef between the two, the decision to prioritize a collaboration with Gaga was a strategic move by Bad Bunny's camp to cement his status as a global pop icon rather than just a Latin star.
