- The most-watched Super Bowl Halftime Show in history
- Vanessa Bryant enjoyed herself with Bad Bunny and sent him a message that will anger Trump
The Super Bowl, despite being mainly a sporting event, has created a lot of controversy this year 2026 due to the choice of artist who performed at halftime. The chosen one was the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, who used the stage to claim Latin culture. This did not sit well with many, especially within the US government, such as President Donald Trump, who before the show had already launched several criticisms and after the meeting dedicated an entire post to criticize Bad Bunny and his performance.
"The Super Bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst in history! It makes no sense, it is an affront to the greatness of America and does not represent our standards of success, creativity or excellence," the US leader began writing on his social network, Truth Social.
Criticizing Bad Bunny's singing style: "Nobody understands a word this guy says, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for the young kids watching from all over America and the world."
"This 'show' is a slap in the face to our country, which sets new standards and records every day. There is nothing inspiring about this halftime show disaster; it will get rave reviews from the fake news media, because they have no idea what is going on in the real world," he said.
Piers Morgan stands up for Bad Bunny
One of the first to speak out against Trump's criticism of the Puerto Rican singer was veteran British journalist Piers Morgan, who wrote a tweet directly replying to the president.
"I totally disagree, Mr. President. I loved Bad Bunny's halftime show. Incredible (the best in Super Bowl history?) theater/choreography, lots of energy, an exceptionally confident performance and a very welcome unifying message," he said, hinting that it might be one of the best of all time.
Throwing one last dart at the language, he concluded: "Oh, and Spanish is the first language for more than 50 million Americans!".
