- NFL. Seahawks Parade Super Bowl 2026: Time, route, and how to watch the celebration in Seattle
The Seattle Seahawks celebrated their second Super Bowl championship in franchise history with a parade in the Emerald City on Wednesday, drawing an estimated 1 million fans to line the route from Lumen Field to Belltown.
The festivities follow the team's 29-13 triumph over the AFC champion New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, with second-year head coach Mike Macdonald leading the squad to glory.
The day began with a trophy presentation at Lumen Field at 10:00 local time, followed by a parade that was expected to last several hours.
Unlike other recent Super Bowl-winning cities such as Philadelphia and Kansas City, Seattle schools remained open on Thursday, much to the ire of locals and potentially limiting parade attendance.
"This letter serves as official notification that the 12 in possession of this letter has been drafted into emergency service by the City of Seattle," wrote Sgt. Patrick Nichaud.
"Following the Seahawks' victory, we have identified a critical shortage of decibel levels in the downtown corridor... Please consider this absence 'Excused for Greatness.'"
The letter even jokingly warned of "an infinite loop of the 'Safety Dance' playing over your office speakers."
Seahawks heroes savor their day
Seahawks players also brought their own flair to the parade. Several were seen wearing t-shirts featuring a doctored image of quarterback Sam Darnold smoking and making an obscene gesture.
Linebacker Ernest Jones IV told NFL Network's Kay Adams: "I've been saying it all year. That's my dude. And to come, he gave me his blessing, he was OK with us wearing the shirts, the couple of us that have them on.
"That's my guy. Thank you, Sam, for getting us to this [Super Bowl]."
At the pre-parade rally, Jones energized the crowd further. "I'm probably the last person they shoulda gave the mic to," he said, before adding, "These bad-a** motherers that play this game the right way!
"Not only do we have the best defense in the world, we got the best team in the world.
"And quite frankly, you got anything to say about my quarterback, anything to say about our O-line, or you got anything to say about the city of Seattle, I got two words for you: F you!"
The parade that highlighted Seattle's infinite bond
From the defensive prowess to the offensive highlights, the Seahawks delivered a dominant performance that the city will remember for years.
For the attendees, this parade was not just a celebration of Super Bowl LX, it was a reminder of Seattle's unique bond with its team and a promise that the journey to defend their championship will begin anew in the coming season.
As the confetti settled and the celebrations wound down, it was clear that Seattle had fully embraced its second Lombardi Trophy.
Fans will cherish this day for the next 11 months, counting down to the next chance to see their beloved Seahawks take the NFL by storm once more.
