Detroit comes in with a painful loss to the Green Bay Packers (31-24) that relegated them to third place in the NFC North. Dallas, on the other hand, will take to the field with spirits high after beating the Kansas City Chiefs 31-28.

The Lions know that if they want to compete with the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers in their division, they have no choice but to win. But it will not be easy against a resurgent Cowboys team that is fighting tooth and nail in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles.

On the eve of this game, SportsLine Daily Fantasy expert and analyst Mike McClure has evaluated matchups, trends, statistics and recent performances to give his top Daily Fantasy Football picks heading into Thursday Night Football. There aren't many changes he suggests, but they are very substantial.

The CeeDee Lamb factor with Dallas

He recorded a stat line of 7-112-1 on Thanksgiving against Kansas City. He averages 82.7 receiving yards per game in 2025, the sixth-best mark in the NFL. His personal best of 227 yards was precisely against Detroit in 2023. He regained his focus and is fine with receptions. Against the Chiefs, he showed what he's made of and how well he coordinates with Dak Prescott to receive in the right place at the right time.

The George Pickens factor with Dallas

Alongside Lamb, both are a terror for any defense at this stage of the season. Pickens can cause headaches for the Lions' secondary. He is estimated to easily surpass 100 receiving yards and score a touchdown of more than 30 yards. Prescott is expected to look for him frequently to get seven or eight receptions.

Jahmyr Gibbs' factor with Detroit

He has been an absolute spectacle over the last six games for the Lions. He is averaging 152.3 yards from scrimmage with eight total touchdowns over the past six weeks, compared to 83.7 yards and five scores in his first six games. He is on pace to set new career highs in rushing yards, rushing average, receptions and receiving yards. He faces a Cowboys team that has allowed the second-most points and fourth-most yards this season, so there is plenty of chance that he will do damage.

Lions' defensive factor

After five weeks as a starting defense in 12-team leagues, the Lions have finished 23, 21, 24 and 30. They have produced only one sack in the last three weeks. This means Prescott will be able to operate with space and time. The Lions' defense is very weak to allow the opposing offensive play. While it is true that they are a team that scores a lot of points, Detroit also receives quite a few. With the level Dallas has been showing, it is predicted that they will receive at least 20 points.
