The Cleveland Browns have named their head coach going forward. Todd Monken has been tabbed as Kevin Stefanski's replacement, and it's a polarizing hire. While Monken is a strong offensive mind, this will be his first head coaching gig in the NFL at nearly 60 years old.

Meanwhile, there's an internal struggle happening within the Browns, as owner Jimmy Haslam reportedly went over general manager Andrew Berry's head with the Monken hire. This all leaves quarterback Shedeur Sanders with a completely uncertain future in Cleveland. The fifth round rookie didn't do enough in his first season to fully claim the starting quarteback job.

With a new head coach coming in, Sanders will have to impress Monken in order to beat out Deshaun Watson and other potential additions at signal-caller. Or will he? Not in Emmanuel Acho's eyes.

Emmanuel Acho says Shedeur Sanders should ignore Todd Monken

The former NFL player, who is now a controversial media personality, believes Sanders doesn't have to listen to what the underqualified Monken has to say.

Former players, analysts and fans alike universally panned Acho's advice. They believe it would be absolutely asinine for any player to ignore their head coach, especially one who's a fifth round rookie and statistically was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league in 2025.

Many took it as extremely harsh towards Monken, as well. Monken is highly respected in both NFL and college football circles, having found success with elite organizations like the Baltimore Ravens and Georgia Bulldogs. Just because he's never been a head coach in the NFL doesn't mean players shouldn't respect him.

Sanders would do well to not take Acho's advice, which always seem to be outlandish.
