With the first wave of free agency practically complete, teams around the NFL have plugged some of their major holes. There's still plenty of work to be done for front offices around the league, both in the second and third waves of free agency, as well as the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.

Signing veterans to address weaknesses allows general managers to take more of a "best player available" approach once the draft rolls around. Not all teams are affored that luxury, though; many teams will still draft for need, even with a high pick in the first round.

The Baltimore Ravens fixing their EDGE problem by signing Trey Hendrickson, after the Maxx Crosby fiasco, allows them to address the interior of their offensive line with the 14th overall pick they hold on to. Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum left the team in free agency.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs use the 29th overall pick they get from the Los Angeles Rams in the Trent McDuffie trade to scoop up a pass-catching weapon for Patrick Mahomes. And that's after replacing McDuffie with their 9th overall pick.
