Being linked to the pedophile and sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein is a heavy burden for anyone who carries it. With the release of several documents related to the shadowy figure, new prominent names have emerged, forcing those involved to publicly address and apologize for their connections.
The latest individual confronted with this issue is Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. He recently had to offer explanations and apologies after acknowledging that he engaged in two romantic relationships with Russian women while still married to his now ex-wife, Melinda French Gates.
But that was not all. Gates also acknowledged that he had ties to Epstein. He addressed the matter directly with members of his foundation. Now 70 years old, Gates explained that on one occasion he flew on a private plane and spent time in Epstein's company. However, he firmly maintained that he never participated in any criminal activity. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

It was in 2011 when the technology magnate first met Epstein, after the latter had already been convicted in Florida for using a minor for prostitution. Despite that conviction, Gates continued to maintain communication with the predator.
He did so without heeding the recommendations made at the time by his now ex-wife, Melinda. Gates made it clear that he never engaged in wrongdoing in his relationship with the now-deceased financier. However, he also offered further clarification.
He openly acknowledged that he had two affairs with two different women while still married, and it was because of these relationships that Melinda decided to file for divorce in 2021, bringing an end to their 27-year marriage.
I did have affairs, one with a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events, and one with a Russian nuclear physicist who I met through business activities.
The magnate stated.
According to the aforementioned outlet, Epstein allegedly threatened Gates regarding his relationship with Mila Antonova, the bridge player mentioned by the Microsoft co-founder.
Gates met her in 2010 at a tournament where she was competing. In an email sent by Epstein in 2013 to Boris Nikolic, who served as the magnate's science and technology adviser, he warned that women could become an overnight sensation.
