Kim Kardashian is facing widespread ridicule after declaring she doubts the 1969 moon landing ever occurred, as the reality star shared her controversial opinion, leaving fans questioning her belief of one of history's most documented events.

During the October 30 episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old discussed the Apollo 11 mission with co-star Sarah Paulson. She expressed skepticism about astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin actually walking on the moon.

Kim Kardashian shows her most personal and genuine side

"I'm sending you, so far, a million articles with both Buzz Aldrin and ... the other one," Kardashian told Paulson. "This girl says, 'What was the scariest moment?'

"And [Aldrin] goes, 'There was no scary moment, cause it didn't happen. It could've been scary, but it wasn't, cause it didn't happen.'"

The mother-of-four suggested Aldrin's age might cause him to make exaggerated statements and concluded: "So I think it didn't happen."

Later, a producer asked Kardashian to clarify her stance but Kim K doubled down by adding, "I don't think we did. I think it was fake.

"I've seen a few videos [of] Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn't happen. He says it all the time now in interviews."

Kardashian further defended her belief by citing supposed inconsistencies in moon footage and museum artifacts.

"There's no gravity on the moon - why is the flag blowing," Kardashian added. "The shoes that they have in the museum that they wore on the moon [have] a different [foot]print than the photos.

"Why are there no stars?"

Fans ridicule Kim Kardashian's Moon Landing opinion

The public response has been swift and mocking. Many questioned Kardashian's credibility, pointing out her completion of a law study program in May 2025.

Others compared her claims to those made by her ex-husband, Kanye West, known for spreading controversial and debunked theories.

One user wrote via X.com, formerly Twitter, "If you think the moon landing was faked, you're a f**king idiot."

A second added, "[It's] hard to believe someone so famous doubts one of the most documented events in history."

However, Kim struck back and said, "But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself."

Her remarks continue to generate viral discussion online, highlighting both the influence of celebrities on public opinion and the ongoing fascination with conspiracy theories.

While Kardashian's comments have drawn ridicule, they also illustrate how social media amplifies celebrity statements, regardless of accuracy. Fans continue debating whether her skepticism is genuine or a publicity-driven provocation.

The moon landing, conducted by NASA in 1969, remains one of humanity's most celebrated achievements, with millions watching live and extensive photographic and scientific documentation confirming its authenticity.

Kardashian's claims, however, show that even widely proven events can ignite controversy when voiced by high-profile figures, sparking a mix of mockery, discussion, and renewed conspiracy speculation.
