Right after the firestorm that took place at WWE Elimination Chamber last Sunday, all eyes are now on the biggest stage of the whole wrestling entertainment industry, WrestleMania. However, the road ahead might not go as planned, as an unexpected event could change the course of time.
This potential shift is protagonized by the one and only Roman Reigns and a social media post he uploaded regarding CM Punk and his World Heavyweight Championship. The king of the current WWE has put his eyes on that belt and wants to beat Punk not only in the ring, but outside of it too.
The Tribal Chief warns: "Enjoy this final month"
At this past PPV, CM Punk faced one of his toughest challenges since he became champion, as Finn Bálor got him engaged in a super-fight that lasted over 20 minutes. Yes, Punk left the building victorious, but still, he was seen exhausted and visibly hurt once the match ended, generating doubts about whether he can overcome the future war with the Roman Empire.
Obviously, the Tribal Chief watched the match, and did not hesitate to comment his thoughts on what he saw: weakness. On his X account, the former member of "The Shield" said this:
"Not sure who looked more tired - the crowd or the champion. Enjoy this final month of relevancy
This obvious jab at Punk's shape, cardio, and skills to entertain, cemented the struggles of a wrestler who may see the end of his reign when he meets the actual empire. Reigns is playing some mind games that can be key in a couple weeks time.
The two will go one-on-one at WrestleMania 42 on April 18-19, 2026. With the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, the stakes could not be higher. Will Punk leave the building as a reigning champion once again? Or will the Tribal Chief's bet come true, ending Punk's era on the biggest stage of them all?
