We're all waiting for Sony to give us the date for the third installment of Marvel's Spider-Man and the still-unreleased Marvel's Wolverine, two of the most anticipated PS5 games. It seemed that, between the two, the quota of superheroes for upcoming releases was full, but LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has shown us that we were very wrong.

Presented during Gamescom, the new Dark Knight game has revealed 30 minutes of gameplay. IGN, in a special session, showed much of the game's content through a pre-alpha build.

In other words, the game is still in a relatively early stage of development. Nevertheless, it already looks tremendous. Although it is a pre-alpha, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is already showing off.

During the 30-minute video, we were able to see a really interesting action-adventure game that maintains the typical LEGO sense of humor along with a much more polished gameplay than one would expect at this point.

Among other things, we see Batman use some of his gadgets. For example, the Dark Knight has a grappling hook that allows him to cover great distances in a matter of seconds. He is also armed with his remote combat bats.

In terms of combat, it looks great. It is defined as an action game with real-time battles and something similar to an execution system. However, being LEGO, you can imagine that it is not bloody at all.

Although you could say it's violent, it doesn't really feel that way. There are fights, but the light-hearted nature of the franchise takes away the tension. In other words, it maintains the family-friendly character that we have already seen in other titles in the LEGO saga.

In any case, there is still some time before we can enjoy it. Available for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, it will not arrive until 2026.
