The path to Olympic glory is different for everyone. For Canadian ice skater and cyclist Alexandra Ianculescu, that path began at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games, and she hopes it will culminate at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games, with a slight detour via OnlyFans.

Alexandra was born in Romania in 1991, and her family moved to Toronto, Canada, in 2001, where she began skating that same year at a local short track club.

In 2011, she competed for Canada at the Junior World Championships, and after a successful junior career, she finally competed for Romania at the 2018 Winter Games in the 500m speed skating event.

Despite her love for skating, Ianculescu hung up her skates after PyeongChang to hop on a bike. Now, Alexandra's dreams are set on Los Angeles 2028, fueled by her income on the popular adult platform.

How did Alex Ianculescu get onto OnlyFans?

In an interview with OK Diario, Ianculescu opened up about the account on the purple platform that's driving her Olympic dream, admitting that it's how she pays her bills.

"I made an OnlyFans account in 2021," the athlete recalled. "It's helping me survive, pay rent, pay for groceries, and covers my cycling and coffee bills."

She admitted that it all started with a friend's suggestion:

Someone suggested, 'Why don't you have an OnlyFans account and create a behind-the-scenes look at everything you do?'

Her friend pointed out that she was already posting bikini photos anyway, and that it would be better to charge for them. "I like my body," Ianculescu admitted. "I want to post it anyway, so I said, 'I'll give it a month and see how it goes,' and it was crazy!"

Ianculescu hasn't lost sight of her Olympic dream

Despite failing to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Alex isn't giving up. "I'm patient. I plan to do this for a long time," she said.

For Ianculescu, it's a long-term life plan. "I don't plan on settling down and buying a house and having kids and getting dogs anytime soon," she emphasized.

Now, her goal is Los Angeles 2028. "I'm going to work hard until I get there," she said. With that determination and her OnlyFans account paying the bills, few would dare bet against her.
