Some stories deserve to reach the big screen. Over the years, players and several teams have had their moments in cinema. There are many examples, and perhaps the most recent is the one about Kurt Warner, whose rise and struggles proved worthy of being told.
Now that the euphoria continues for the Super Bowl LX champions, the Seattle Seahawks, it seems the team's starting quarterback, Sam Darnold, would not mind joining that trend. Or if some producer decides to write a script about his life, he already knows who he would like to portray him.
It is worth recalling part of Darnold's journey in the NFL. He arrived in 2018 as the first overall pick of the New York Jets, a franchise that, as recent history shows, is always searching for a quarterback to help them escape mediocrity.
However, the result was the same as always. Between the Jets and the Browns, there is a constant battle to see which team can derail a young talent as soon as he arrives in the league. In this case, the Jets were playing their season opener, and Darnold was throwing his first pass as a professional.
Everything that could go wrong did. The signal-caller was intercepted for a pick-six, and nothing good seemed to await his young career at that moment. Still, he continued to believe in himself.

Great stories sell, and his could rank among those worth telling in a strong script. His arrival in the NFL has already been described, but from that moment on, a long struggle followed for the quarterback.
- New York Jets from 2018 to 2020
- Carolina Panthers from 2021 to 2022
- San Francisco 49ers in 2023
- Minnesota Vikings in 2024
- Seattle Seahawks from 2025 to the present
As shown, after he departed from the Jets, Darnold experienced a roller coaster through different teams. His revival came in 2024 with the Vikings. He delivered a spectacular season but ultimately fell short in the postseason.
After a magical year, inconsistency returned once again. He moved to Seattle, and there he was reborn alongside the entire team and head coach Mike Macdonald. They ended up winning Super Bowl LX, and although the foundation was the team's dominant defense, Darnold did his part.
With that in mind, during a conversation with TMZ Sports, he was asked which actor he would choose to play him on the big screen. Without hesitation, he quickly said: Brad Pitt.
I think another good one would be a classic like Brad Pitt."... "I think he could play a good quarterback -- I'd have to see his throwing motion -- but yeah, I think he could be a good quarterback.
I actually got some good sleep last night -- we got home relatively early from Disneyland."..."I was able to kind of soak it all in with my teammates and coaches this morning. Just an amazing experience, man. To be able to do it with this group is truly special.
Just believe in yourself."... "Continue to keep those that are close to you in your tight circle close -- and any doubters or naysayers, it doesn't matter what their opinion was.

Now, alongside his teammates, he has become the center of attention in the country's sports world, enjoying the moment and making the most of the spotlight.
