For the first time since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, the team managed to secure their place in Super Bowl LX after defeating the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the AFC Championship game on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High.

They will face the Seattle Seahawks, who are coming off a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game and against whom, according to Stephen A. Smith, they have little chance of winning.

Stephen A. Smith doubts the Patriots' potential

The truth is that, ahead of a new edition of the Super Bowl, Maye and company are not in the best shape to face the Seahawks, as they are the underdogs by 4.5 points, the biggest difference since the 2015 Super Bowl.

However, despite the team's success in reaching this long-awaited stage, the analyst has downplayed it, believing that their success is only due to a lucky streak and, of course, does not believe they will take home the Vince Lombardi trophy:

"Are the Patriots being slept on? Yes, they are... I'm snoring," Smith admitted on "First Take." "I'm sleeping on them big time. Ya'll ain't winning the Super Bowl... You ain't beating Seattle. The New England Patriots, listen, it was a nice run. It was really, really nice. It's going to be a competitive Super Bowl, I have no doubt, because the defense is real."

Although he noted that the franchise has a good defense, he said that their offense could be the problem, as they have allowed 3, 16, and 7 points in three playoff games. He also pointed to Maye's poor performance, who has completed only 60% of his passes in the playoffs, thrown for 4 TDs against two interceptions, and lost six fumbles.

Another factor Smiyh highlighted was "good luck" in the form of an injured offensive line against the Chargers and Texans, snow against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, and an easy schedule:

"As the season went on, you got lucky in the playoffs against the Chargers, Texans, and Denver Broncos," he said. "But it ends now. I'm telling you right now, I'm snoring. I'm talking about, give me a pillow, let me take a nap. I'm not worried about y'all winning this Super Bowl at all."

Meanwhile, the Patriots and Seahawks will face off in the Super Bowl on February 8 at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. EST.
