Recent reports confirmed that the Raiders completed a second interview with Webb, signaling increased confidence in his profile, while emphasizing a patient approach focused on development, leadership, and sustainable organizational growth.

"Davis Webb, who was the 30-year-old passing game coordinator for the Broncos," Carpenter said on the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast. "Interviewed with the Raiders.
"And late that night I got some great feedback on the interview. It was told that it was not good. It was phenomenal.
"I would just say this: I think the Raiders were very pleasantly surprised. I wasn't predicting he was going to get a second interview, but it wouldn't have shocked me at all.
"I asked the person I spoke to if there was going to be a second interview, and their exact words were, 'Wouldn't be surprised.'
"That was exactly how they worded it."
And it turns out that a second interview has taken place, as per Adam Schefter, suggesting the Raiders board are very interested in snatching Webb away from their AFC West rivals.

Meanwhile Tom Brady's growing role within the organization has offered insight into how the Raiders assess young talent, emphasizing maturity, accountability, and long-term potential over short-term performance or name recognition.
During the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Brady evaluated several prospects, including Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

"There's still so much room for development. Nobody's a finished product."
