Tua Tagovailoa is beginning a new chapter in his career-and he won't be doing it alone. As the quarterback prepares to join the Atlanta Falcons, his wife, Annah, shared an enthusiastic message with the city and the team that will soon welcome their family.
It has been a whirlwind week for the Tagovailoas. On Monday morning, the Miami Dolphins announced they would not renew Tua's contract. By the afternoon, the Falcons had already signed him, opening their doors to the six-season veteran.
Beyond the numbers and records, Tagovailoa expressed his gratitude for the opportunity the Dolphins gave him and for his time in Miami.
"From the moment I arrived, you believed in me, supported me, and embraced my family as your own," he said. Annah, meanwhile, is already looking ahead.
Annah Tagovailoa's farewell to Miami
Preparing to leave South Florida, Annah posted a joyful message on Instagram:
So excited to be coming to Atlanta! I am so proud of you and cannot wait to cheer you on!! @tuaman.
Earlier on Monday, while the Dolphins' decision was still pending, she wrote: "I love you so much and could not be more proud of you."
Tua and Annah married in 2022 and share a three-year-old daughter, Ace. As the family prepares for their new life in Georgia, the Dolphins face the financial fallout of their quarterback's departure.
The $99 million dead cap hit Miami must absorb
At the time of his release, Tagovailoa was in the second year of a four-year, $212.4 million contract signed in 2024. His exit leaves Miami with a staggering $99 million in dead cap charges.
The details of his Falcons contract have not yet been disclosed, though insiders suggest it could be a one-year minimum deal worth $1.3 million.
