The 2025 college football season kicks off tomorrow, with all teams, including Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes, set to play by next Sunday against Georgia Tech. Coach Prime has transformed a struggling 1-11 program in 2022 into a 9-4 squad ranked in the AP Top 25 in 2024, marking Colorado's best performance since 2016. This season, however, presents a fresh challenge as Sanders coaches without his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and Heisman winner Travis Hunter, both now in the NFL.

Backed by a Hall of Fame coaching staff and his magnetic recruiting pull-bolstered by lucrative NIL deals and his storied NFL career-Sanders is doubling down on discipline. Known for his bold approach, he's introduced strict new guidelines for his players, aiming to mold them into NFL-ready athletes both on and off the field.

Coach Prime's Strict Classroom Dress Code

Deion Sanders, entering his third season as Colorado's head coach, has implemented a rigorous classroom dress code to instill discipline in his players. In a video shared by his son, Deion Sanders Jr., Coach Prime outlined the rules: no slides, hoodies, or headphones in class.

Players are also prohibited from sitting in the back row of classrooms, and for virtual lectures, shirts are mandatory with no wandering during sessions. "If I catch you in slides on campus or with a hoodie and headphones in class, we've got a problem," Sanders declared.

His focus on accountability extends beyond football, emphasizing life skills to prepare players for professional careers. These rules reflect Sanders' broader mission to shape well-rounded young men, reinforcing his reputation as a coach who prioritizes character as much as athletic performance.

Colorado's Early Schedule and Bowl Game Aspirations

With their season opener against Georgia Tech on August 29, the Colorado Buffaloes are poised to capitalize on a favorable schedule, playing four of their first five games at home, including Delaware on September 6. A strong start could propel Colorado toward a bowl game and potentially a national ranking by October. Sanders' new rules, paired with his elite coaching staff, aim to maintain the program's upward trajectory despite the loss of key players in every position.
