The catalog of streaming platforms sometimes suffers from a lack of truly powerful projects, with a plot, cast and script to match. On Disney+, however, there are several of the most acclaimed in recent years: 'The Bear', 'Shogun', 'Only Murders in the Building' or 'Daredevil'. However, there is another one that looks set to be the big hit of the year.

We are talking about the series 'Paradise', which premiered on January 28 in Spain and whose last episode of the season was released on February 27 on the Disney+ streaming platform. Its seven episodes are full of thriller, adrenaline and a lot of political and social tension.

What is 'Paradise' about and why is it so successful on Netflix?

'Paradise', created by Dan Fogelman, stars Sterling K. Brown, alongside James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson. The plot is seemingly simple: Collins, a US Secret Service agent, begins his working day by going to the president's residence. There he finds the country's head of state lifeless. In addition, the safe has been attacked.

The plot centers on Collins, who is automatically accused of killing the president of the United States. The conspiracies and secrets surrounding the case will put loyalties in check and the country will be thrown into chaos, while Collins tries to prove his innocence.

The numbers for 'The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon' in its first broadcasts on Disney+ are certainly encouraging for the platform. In just seven days, as Deadline reported, the series reached 6.3 million views. This data meant that Disney+ did not hesitate to renew the series for a second season when the last episode of the premiere campaign had not yet seen the light of day.
