Neymar Jr.'s future is uncertain. The shadow of retirement is beginning to loom large and the Brazilian star himself does not rule out hanging up his boots. In an interview with 'CazeTV', Neymar considered the possibility of bringing his playing days to an end at the end of the year, always listening to what "the heart dictates".

"I don't know what is going to happen from now on, I don't know what will happen next year. It may be that December comes and I want to retire. Now I'm living year by year. This year is very important for Santos and for the Brazilian national team, because of the World Cup, so for me it is also a very big challenge," said Neymar.

I may reach December and want to retire

"I wanted to play again this season 100%, that's why I kept myself in some games, I took care of myself a little more. I know that many people say a lot of nonsense, but they do not know what happens on a day-to-day basis, they do not know how it is. Santos did a very good planning, it helped me a lot in that sense. Obviously I wanted to come back to help my team in the best possible way, but I ended up waiting a bit to come back 100%, without pain, without fear, without anything and I managed to come back very well in this last game," said the Brazilian.

"With a lot of training, with a lot of perseverance, which is what moves us, I will be able to reach my 100%. That's what I want, that's what I told them. So I'm living year by year, I don't know what's going to happen from now on, I don't know next year; it may be that December comes and I want to retire, I don't know. It will be what my heart dictates," Neymar Jr. concluded.
